February

Game night this month got a little crazy...Braden gashed his head open.  Thanks to Heather for running home to grab the hospital glue and to nurse Brandon for applying it, oh and to Carrie for the lighting we didn't have to make an ER stop.  However, that glue remained in his hair for the next month.
These boys sure love their daddy!!
February is a month full of birthdays in our family, starting with Brian's! Brian's first birthday request was to go to the temple, so my parents joined us for a session and then we headed to the cheesecake factory.  Best salad there!!! So pretty I had to take a photo.
We also enjoyed a game night with our friends the Anderson's and the Stucki's, thanks guys for making it a special weekend for him.  Somehow we missed photos on that one..but we had a mexi feast and as requested I made a lemon meringue pie. Love having such great friends!!

Since my birthday is just 4 days later we didn't do any big party for me since we were heading out of town to Idaho for our dear friend Stephanie's wedding.  What a great weekend that was! However, just before the trip a good friend from church got me together with my friends for a little girl time!  Enjoyed some appetizers at Hop Jacks!  Thanks Julie, Becca, Brooke, and Becca!

The boys got a few little valentine's goodies from us! We sure love you boys!!!
Braden's was a new angry birds blanket.
Brian got me some beautiful flowers and fun presents and I made us some lovely scallops! The next morning we boarded the plane, just the two of us! Thank you mom for watching the boys!!  First stop, lunch on temple square and the SLC temple for a live session.  We stayed with Brian's best buds Chris and Aimee.  Where I had a great evening talking to Aimee a night of conversation I will never forget! Wish you guys lived closer. Then we headed up to Idaho and stayed with his parents so we could be at the big event, love you Steph and Ken!!  Pretty much forgot the camera, who does that on vacation?!  We got one on our friend's camera so I will try and add that soon.  A few from my phone...
OH and we ate at Radizio's of course!! Love me some Brazilian Grillin!
This is a B for Braden!

My birthday "cake" we had to stop at the Cocoa Bean while we were in Idaho!  Best cupcakes I have ever had, ever!!
Emmitt learned to play peek a boo while we were gone so he was showing us on our ride back home.
Later in the month we celebrated my Grandpa's 71st birthday! And my mom surprised me with a cake too! Cheesecake just like she made for all my birthdays growing up!  Love you mom! She knows how important a real cake is to me on my birthday!

28 with two sweet boys! This will be a great year!

 Cousin love.
A little random February happenings...Emmitt's new favorite spot in the kitchen, right next to me when I am cooking.
Chocolate pudding for breakfast...I am a great mom! Acutally I have no idea when he ate this but I am sure he would have liked that.
The month of love was sure a great one!

January Temple Trip

To finish out January we took a little family day trip to the Seattle Temple.  When we lived in Idaho (both Rexburg and Twin Falls) we went so often and Braden loved seeing Moroni at the top of the temple.  Realizing we have lived here for over a year now we had no more excuses and needed to get to the temple with the boys.  Braden also got his own little Book of Mormon.

Out goes January and onto February! Hoping to catch up on this blog...once again.

Snow Day

First snow of the season and we were all over it! The boys both loved it!

Daddy built a snowman with Braden and they were quite proud of it.

We took a walk around the neighborhood on this lovely Snowy Sunday and when we got back Braden had to build another one....so I did this one with him!

Every time Emmitt looks outside at the snow he says "brrrrr brrrrr", on that note he also can say the word snow! Which is quite exciting given that his vocabulary is quite small right now.
And now for a few of Braden's shots.....
I always love that he includes one of himself.

lovely braden....we all made it in the pictures this time! Now off to the gym!

Sunbeams

Braden had his first day of Primary, he is now a little sunbeam!! He was really excited to go to Primary and be with all his pre-school friends! While we drove home from church he told me all about the singing and game they played. But most importantly he told me all about the rules in Primary, glad something stuck!

New Year's Eve

This New Year's Eve was a labor of love! We chaparoned the stake youth dance. Luckily my parents came along since all our friends bailed on us! (jk friends) We decided to make the most of it and went to dinner at Red Lobster (my dad's request and Anthony's was booked). The dance brought back lots of my favorite memories as a YW, since I went to a dance every Saturday night! All I wanted to do was bust out my best dance moves with everyone else!! But I resisted for the most part so I didn't embarrass my dear young women. However, Brian and I got in one slow dance, and I got one with my dad...oh and my dad and I did join in on the electric slide....man I forgot how long that song is! I am thinking a night out dancing will be in my near future since I had to be a fly on the wall at this one!
Dad enjoying his lobster, crap legs and shimp!
Friday night before we took the boys to Jumping Jacks for a little fun. Emmitt LOVED the slide...he got brave enough to go on his own. I discovered this because every time I climbed those stairs and sat down with him he about jumped out of my arms to go down. HE just flew down. Excuse the video that is sideways.
This is one Braden's favorite places...I think we need to advance to Charlie Safari one of these days since he pretty much only plays on this slide. I must say though it is my favorite too.

Christmas 2011

At Grandma and Grandpa Lundholm's House for Christmas 2011!
We did a lot of playing in the four days we were there. Braden did LOTS of puzzels, played a little Mario with Grandma and Daddy, read book, and played the piano.
Grandpa and Braden playin
This year's country was Ireland so we enjoyed some yummy dishes native to the country and learned about their holiday traditions. We also dressed up as the nativity and read the story of Christ's birth. Will insert those photos when I get them. We opened presents that night with all the family, sang christmas carols, and put on our christmas jammies.
Then Chritmas morning we opened a few gifts before we went to church and got to hear Grandma and Grandpa in the choir.

Great Grandma and Uncle Larry came too!
Elle in the new dress Braden got her.
Auntie Brooke and Great Grandma
Emmitt and Great Uncle Larry became instant buddies!
Singing 'round the piano...we really need our own music books so we aren't all squinting at the music....guess we should know all the words by now....
Merry Christmas Eve!!
Future Piano Duo
Christmas Morning Aunt Jessica had to wake Braden up and then they came in and got Brian and I and then we got Emmitt....so he was a little sleepy while looking in his stocking to see what Santa had brought. He woke up as soon as there were packages to open!

Playing candy land with aunt jessica
Grateful we could spend time with our family in Idaho!
Merry Christmas!
